Forever Denied
By Anne Hinton Pratt
I want to tell you a very sad story.
A tale of true love that never would be.
I met a girl who was un-like the others.
She lifted my life to a heightened degree.
We were inseparable,
She was so beautiful.
I loved to watch as the wind blew her hair.
She was so dear to me.
It be-came clear to me.
I'd found the love of my life.
Laughing and singing we bonded together.
Measuring time till the day we would wed.
Then in an accident, her life was taken,
And in that instant my an-gel was dead.
It took my breath a-way, Stunned, I didn't know what to say.
I was ripped from the one that I loved more than life.
She was taken from me.
I fell down on my knees and I begged her to come back home.
Gone is my an-gel All plans postponed.
Joy now has end-ed I'm all alone.
Why, did she go? I need to know!
And, yet some-times I feel her stand by my side.
She's my forever that was denied!
Now I have told you my very sad story.
A tale of true love that never will be.
I'm left a-lone in the valley of sorrow.
I have a life now with no guar-an-tee. But,
Some-times I feel her stand by my side.
She's my forever that was denied!
